Surf's Up

Aloha crafty friends! Today I bring you card inspiration for the next digi challenge by Craftin Desert Diva’s “Beach”. This project uses a handful of some super fun summer images. This style of card is call a double tent fold card. I started by cutting my card base. I cut two 5x5 inch panels making one the front panel I cut an aperture in a circle shape. You’ll also need two pieces to connect your card together cut at 2 inches H by 5 inches wide, you’ll then score these at 1/2 inch mark to create an accordion fold. I then placed my images on another square for the front layer panel. I used Summer Days, bucket, shovel and the palm tree. I cut this panel slightly smaller I used my Cricut machine so everything easily lined up for me. This can be done using a trimmer and dies. I then cut a square back panel putting Summer Day’s sun and Surfing Boy in the middle to line up with my cut circles. I colored all my images using Copics and added some background color using distress inks. I finished this card with "Wish Big" from the Craftin Desert Diva's Simply Said clear stamp set.
